PINE POINT BEACH: BIKE AND KAYAK THE COAST

Pine Point Beach is a long sandy beach on Saco Bay that extends four miles from the jetty at Pine Point to Old Orchard Beach. There is plenty of room to relax on the beach, swim, play catch, or take a stroll along the beach. Near the municipal parking lot there is a small shack that you can get some food and beach type of snacks and also has a shower on the back side to wash off the salty residues and evil sand stuck in the toes on your way back to the car.

Parking is available at the municipal parking lot at the entrance to Pine Point Beach for a fee of 10 dollars or you can also choose to find street parking for free and walk to the beach … if you comb the spots, you are bound to find something. Down the road about 1/4 of a mile you can rent some beach cruiser bikes and/or kayaks and other water crafts to use on your day around the beach.  If you are looking for a good place to get some seafood, the Clambake is right down the road to get some fast and delicious seafood and there are also some smaller more intimate stands on the side roads and all the way to the end of the strip near the parking area.
